The History of 3D Printing: Prehistoric

This is a tech-Tree showing all of the prerequisite technologies humans had to master before unlocking the amazing technology of 3D printing that we know and love today. This graphic visualization should be familiar to anyone who has played video games, but I also think it’s a great way to tell the story of how certain technolgies are tied together.

This is the first part of a series on 3D Printing history. To begin, we are going waaay back in human history to the the Paleolithic era. And explaining how some of man’s first inventions relate to modern processes.

The buttons below link to wikipedia entries that will tell you more about each technology. Watch my series on the history of 3D printing to learn about how these ancient technologies, and more recent inventions relate to 3D Printing!
